Spring Beauty Preview for Glossed and Found
My Spring Beauty Preview for Glossed and Found is OUT NOW! //
I had too much fun creating this beauty editorial for Glossed and Found. Not only was it the perfect small production shoot of just 4 (Model, Creative Director, Make up artist/Hairstylist and Photographer) but I was able to go back to my roots of painting and create this killer collection of mixed media beauty portraits.
I’ve been wanting to do a mixed media collaboration piece for a long time now and I am so thrilled I finally had the opportunity to do so. It came at the perfect time where the cold was taking over, the year was ending, my inspiration was draining and I desperately needed some time to myself to take care of my health. Fortunately for me, this was the perfect time to lock myself in my studio and dive back into my paints. There is something so freeing in putting a brush to paper and not being able to hit ALT-CTRL-Z and undo the last command. So I painted. I let loose; I didn’t care about making mistakes or being perfect. I just created. Nothing specific; I just let my hand take over naturally, creating abstract designs that I would later fuze together with my digital portraits. And so here are the results…a manifestation of who I was and who I am now as an artist.
